Ethernet / Wifi Communication Mode
This guide explains how to set up communication between your FR2000/FR2500 device and your network using Ethernet (wired) or Wi-Fi (wireless) mode. This ensures your device is connected and ready to sync with the AMG Attendance System.
For Wired Ethernet Connection:
Access the Menu
- Press the Menu key (6 dots on the bottom right of the home screen) to open the device menu.
- Navigate to COMM and then select Ethernet.
Enable DHCP (If Applicable)
- If you don’t have a network administrator or IT support, it’s best to set the device to DHCP. This will automatically assign the device an IP address.
- To enable DHCP, touch the DHCP option at the bottom of the screen until it reads 'ON'.
Get the Device IP Address
- Go back to the Menu, then navigate to Comm > Ethernet to view the IP address.
- Write down this IP address to input into the AMG Client/Server Software.
- For AMG Web users, use the device’s serial number, usually found on the back under the barcode.
For Wi-Fi Connection:
Access the Menu
- Press the Menu key (6 dots on the bottom right of the home screen) to open the device menu.
- Navigate to COMM and then select Wireless Network.
Enable Wi-Fi
- Set Wi-Fi to 'ON'.
- The device will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Once it finds your network, press on the network name.
Enter Wi-Fi Password
- Enter your Wi-Fi password in the prompt.
- Press Connect to Wi-Fi.
Verify Connection
- After about a minute, the screen should show 'Connected' next to your network name.
- Tap the network name to see the IP address.
- Write down the IP address to enter it into the AMG Client/Server Software.
For WEB Connection:
Cloud Server Settings only for AMG Cloud Solution (Web based)
Access the Menu
- Press the Menu key (6 dots on the bottom right of the home screen) to open the device menu.
- Navigate to COMM and then select Cloud Server Settings.
Set WEB Server Address
Domain Name can be turned off or left on
If Domain is on Server Address will be 3735.us
If Domain is off Server Address will be 209.50.60.75 and the Server Port will be 80.
Enable Proxy Server should be off
