First make sure your device is connected to your network or to your computer via serial cable.
In the AMG Attendance System software:
1. At the top menu go to Devices > Configure Devices
2. Double click the device in the list if it is already added, or for new devices click the Add button at the bottom.

Device Setup Guide
When configuring your device, please fill out the following fields:
Code
- Enter the unique Code you wish to associate with the device. This could be any identifier you prefer.
Name
- Assign a Name to the device that helps you identify it easily (e.g., "Front Door Reader" or "Lobby Access Point").
Device Type
- Select the Device Typebased on the model of your device.
- If you're unsure about which model to choose, refer to the Hardware Section to identify the correct one.
Time Zone
- Set the Time Zone to match the physical location of the device. This ensures that time-based actions (such as access control) are properly synchronized.
Communication
- Set the Communication option to Ethernet. This will ensure that the device is connected via Ethernet for syncing and updates.
IP Address
- Enter the IP Address of the device, which can be found after connecting it to the internet. The IP address can be found in the device main menu, usually in the Communication option.
Click OK. If the software asks to sync changes with the device, click Yes.
