ACA Compliance module gives users a possibility to easily define whether or not the company is ACA compliant. Note that company is being defined as ACA compliant, if it has at least 50 Full Time Equivalent Employees (FTEEs). Also, the module enables generating 1094-C and 1095-C forms for Applicable Large Employer Member companies.
ACA Compliance module is designed to be included by default in Professional and Enterprise software packages.
Note: This module can be available starting from version 1.15.14.8, though 1094-C and 1095-C forms are available only from version 1.16.0.16.
Benefits for this module include:
Who? Any company that could come close to 50 FTE (full time equivalent) per ACA requirements. (Per healthcare.gov ACA FTE is “Full-time employees are those who worked on average 30 hours or more a week for more than 120 days in a year – or the number of employees you expect to work these hours.)
Why? ACA requires all ALE companies to provide health benefits to their customers. So, it’s important for a company to know if they are ALE or not and this module helps them do that.
Why attached to T&A? Based on time and attendance data, AMGtime ACA reporting identifies ALE companies based on # of FT employees and also # of hours worked by PT employees; and enables ALE companies to run 1094c and 1095c reporting.
The software includes the following 3 Attendance reports related to ACA COMPLIANCE module:
"ACA Employee Status" attendance report
This report shows whether the company is ACA compliant or not.
ACA compliance is being measured over a certain period, called the Measurement period, which is being defined by user before generating report. The measurement period can be from 3 to 12 months or from 13 to 52 weeks, so before generating the report user should choose between the Months or Weeks option and enter the required amount of months or weeks. Also, user should enter the End Date of the measurement period.
Moreover, if activating the Forecast option, it will be possible to forecast the future by calculating part-time employee’s hours based on their schedule and not actual worked hours.

At the end, the report is calculating the average of Total FTE Count within the selected measurement period. If average FTEE count is more than 50, then company is ACA Compliant, if less than 50, then they are not.
"ACA Full Time Look-Back" attendance report
This report shows whether the status of the employees should be changed or not based on their hours worked during the measurement period.
Like in case of ACA Employee Status report, before generating this report user should configure the measurement period which includes the same options as described in the previous report.
ACA Full Time Look Back report sample
Here is the formula: Employee is Full-Time, if working on average 130 hours/month or 30 hours/week. Otherwise employee’s status should be Part-Time.
"1094-C and 1095-C Form Reports " attendance report
This report generates 1094-C and 1095-C forms for Applicable Large Employer Member (ALE Member) companies. These forms are being generated by Headquarters. For each Headquarters one 1094-C form for the whole headquarters is being generated, and as many 1095-C forms as there are employees in that headquarters (one 1095-C form per each employee).
1094-C form includes the following info from AMG system:
