Nursing Hours Per Patient Day (NHPPD) module of AMG Attendance System gives relevant healthcare organizations automatic calculations ofNHPPD ratios to make sure they meet minimum staffing requirements set by the US Government.

NHPPD module includes a uniquely designed NHPPD Scheduling page, where users besides setting up a daily schedule for staff, also have  the ability to enter a daily patients count (Census amount) separately for different shifts (Day, Eve and Night). As a result, the system will automatically calculate and display NHPPD ratios for each day on the screen. If the NHPPD ratio is smaller than the required minimum value, then the system will display it in red in order, clearly noting  that the minimum requirements are not met. Also taking into consideration the fact that minimum PPD ratio can vary among different states, each company will be able to define its required minimum PPD ratio manually from the system’s General Settings.

While setting up jobs, NHPPD module users will also have the ability to define which jobs relate to direct patient care and to what extent (in percentages). Moreover, administrators can group some similar jobs into a Jobs Group, which is a common practice for healthcare organizations while setting up a schedule.
