Checking User Access and Visibility

If you are an administrator and cannot see certain information, first make sure there are no filters or date/time period restrictions affecting what you are trying to view.

If a user is experiencing issues with their assigned rights or roles, visit Users for information on adding or editing users and configuring their roles.

If you cannot see transactions, visit Transactions for additional information.

Configuring User Access

An administrator is required to configure what users can and cannot view within the system.

  1. Log in to your AMG Web account using an administrator account.

  2. Navigate to Users and Configuration.

  3. Select Edit for an existing user or Add to create a new user.

  4. You will see several tabs representing the different organization levels within your company.

  5. Review the organization levels and make sure the appropriate options are enabled for the user.

  6. The user's access to information will be based on the organization levels selected for their account.

Make sure the appropriate organization levels are enabled for each user so they can view the information they need.

You may also want to check the roles as that is where most of the software's functions and features will be toggled on or off. You will also have the options to enable viewing certain reports, payroll exports, and employee sensitive data such as SSN, DOB, etc.
