Overview of Attestation in AMGtime

The AMGtime Attestation feature enables employers to present customized questions to employees during clock-in and/or clock-out. These prompts are used to capture acknowledgments related to compliance, safety procedures, break policies, and overall readiness for duty.

Each response is recorded alongside the employee’s time punch, creating a reliable audit trail that supports reporting, compliance requirements, and internal reviews.

Note: The Attestation feature requires a compatible electronic time clock or supported interface (such as the web portal or mobile app). To enable and properly configure attestation prompts, please contact the AMGtime Support Team for assistance.

How It Works

1. Prompt Display

Attestation questions are presented to employees at designated punch points, such as clock-in or clock-out. Prompts can appear on supported devices, including electronic time clocks, the web interface, and the mobile app.

Example questions:

  • “Have you followed your department’s safety procedures throughout your shift?”
  • “Have you completed your meal and break periods as required?”
  • “I confirm that I am fit for duty and have completed all safety checks.”

Common attestation categories include:

  • Meal, break, and rest period compliance
  • Safety procedure acknowledgment
  • Pre-shift readiness confirmation

Each question includes clearly labeled Yes and No response options.

2. Employee Interaction

Employees respond by selecting Yes or No directly on the device.
If enabled, a Back option allows them to return to the previous screen before submitting a response.

3. Data Capture & Storage

All attestation responses are:

  • Timestamped at the time of submission
  • Linked directly to the associated punch event
  • Securely stored within the AMGtime system

This ensures accurate and traceable records for every response.

4. Reporting & Auditing

Attestation data is accessible through the AMGtime web portal for administrators and supervisors.

Reports can be filtered by:

  • Employee
  • Date range
  • Question type
  • Response (Yes/No)

These reports can be used for compliance audits, internal reviews, and issue investigations.
